Ken Delano

Ken Delano grew up in New Bedford Massachusetts but now resides with his poetry partner and wife Nadine in Asheville, NC.

Ken received his degree at the University of Massachusetts and joined the company of Poetry Alive! 14 years ago. He was first inspired into performing when he was in the 5th grade playing the role of Uncle Sam in a Thanksgiving play.

Ken honestly believes that he has the best seat in the house as he is able to watch the faces of students and teachers when the magic of poetry strikes them. His favorite poem is “The Highwayman” by Alfred Noyes, though he is awfully proud as well of the one he had to write and perform at his daughter's wedding.

Ken loves to run and believes one must go thoughout life with a peace of love.
