Don’t let just one get in your way

My Teacher

My teacher always helps me
when I am in a mess.
She also makes a really easy test.
And when the work is done
she always says lets have fun.
She has a beautiful smile
that lasts for awhile.
She writes things on my papers
that are really nice.
But sometimes she checks my papers twice.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

The rain is falling,
One by one.
The sky is crying,
It lost its loved one.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

The wind is blowing,
Left then right.
It’s fiercely yelling,
With all it’s might.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

Thunder and lightning,
Claps from the clouds.
The ground is slightly shaking,
The roaring sounds are loud.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

The once lonely raindrops,
That fell from the clouds.
Collide with blooming flowers
With a quiet ‘splashing’ sound.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

It’s here you see all nature’s beauty;
The shrieking sky and crying clouds,
Have purposes shown all around.

Titter tatter,
Drip drop drip.
Pitter patter,
Glip glop glip.

The flowers bloom and insects buzz,
They all do this simply because
The sky has cried and suffered great loss,
So all the others don’t have to pay the cost.

Save Yourself

Dry your feeble tears
And peel away your agony.
Writhing in self-pity
Will never get you far.

Do not grieve your God-forsaken past
It can never be rewritten.
Your endless sadness is no more beautiful
Than the scars upon your wrists,
And nobody is coming to save you.

Save yourself.

If pain is soaked into your skin
Then strip.
Strip down until your naked bones
Reflect the sweet array of sunlight
That you used to marvel at.

Open your eyes to beauty,
Smile at the world every day
And she shall smile back.
Learn once more to laugh
Learn to respect and to cherish.

Take your fragile heart and strengthen it with love
You must create your own future
And become your own hero.
You will not be saved.

So please,
Save yourself.

Winter is coming
so get up, get going
and have a good cup of cheer,
outside it is snowing
the fire is glowing
and neighbors are shoveling snow
the children are building and building and building,
a snowman as high as the sky,
it’s so cold outside, I feel I might freeze,
I think I might need some hot coco!

Reality

A winding road
A path to escape
A path to destroy
Lies
All lies
Flowing through the everywhere
Like a river flowing through the wood
Or like words from mind to pen
Reality flows
And never stops
Seeping through the cracks
Flooding you
With hopes and dreams
With wants and desire
And things you will never have
Unless you’re really lucky
Then your reality is a bore
But sometimes, just sometimes
Reality is kind
And gives you many things in life
And beauty quite divine
Reality is what we see
In every single day
But we all live in different worlds
You and they and me
We’re all so separate
And yet so close
Singing the sad song of life
Joining hand in hand
Coming as one
In all of reality
Screaming out
One song
One wish
One everything
Millions joined
In one version of reality
The most real of them all
With war and hate and crime
But with love and kindness and refuge
For this version of reality
That most of us share
Deal with it day by day
Joining hand in hand
Facing reality

Sparkle
the sparkle in your
eyes
your heart
your soul
the sparkle when you
speak
when you smile
when you sing
the sparkle that shows life
shows feeling
show pureness of the mind
you don’t have to have death to lose this sparkle
only die on the inside
to lose it
to lose you

Recipe For a Little Sister

Take a broken toy,
Ruined after she tried to make it “better.”
Put it in a bowl, then add some salty tears.
Mix until you know you can forgive her,
Even if she’s embarrassed you
In front of all your friends.
Throw in a half cup of sugar.
Bake it all together at 1,000 degrees
Until you see her bright smile.
You can tell it’s done when you feel sorry
For all the mean things you’ve ever called her.
Let it cool until it turns her favorite color.
Sprinkle in some rolling eyes,
Followed by a series of warm hugs.
Cut it into small slices,
And serve it to her with a smile.
It tastes of friendship and love.
